Excelsior: Art on the Lake (June 14-15, 2025)

The Excelsior Art on the Lake fair (festival) is an annual favorite in Excelsior, MN. This is smaller than Excelsior’s Apple Days festival (September 2025), but still a great showing with all the staples. This year is the 45th year for the festival!

Most of the art vendors that attend this Lake Minnetonka festival will also be at the Wayzata Art Festival one week later. I go to both every year because it’s a great excuse to get outside, walk around, and support our local businesses and food trucks.

Where & When

The Excelsior Art on the Lake Fair runs from Saturday, June 14, 2025 to Sunday, June 15 2025. The biggest day is Saturday June 14, 2025. If you need an address to find your way, just use 1 Water St, Excelsior, MN 55331.

The event runs on the historic downtown Water Street, from 3rd St (by Red Bench Bakery) to Lake St (by Port of Excelsior or Haskell’s).

The artists are setup in booths on both sides of the street. See the image below for a list of artists and mediums.

The official website does not confirm there will be a Beer + Wine tent this year. But if you’re thirsty, Excelsior Brewing Company is about 100 feet from the corner of Water Street and 3rd Street, and will certainly be open. They have outdoor seating too!

Kid’s Events & Live Music

I believe the only kid-specific event this year is the Primrose School Magician/Crafts event on Saturday, June 14 at 10:00AM. But like all the Lake Minnetonka Festivals, Excelsior Art on the Lake is great for kids if you’re just looking to get out, walk around, see some sights, and grab a bite.
